Hello all,
I have a my site under a
directory outside the C:\InetPub\wwwroot ware CFIDE
is stored.
the site is under C:\Sites\mysite\html\
All is running fine except that cfmenu, etc dosent work. Same thing with
debuging.
This problem started when changing to CF8.
I also tryed to copy the html directory to wwwroot and all works fine there.
So it must be some problem with the
mapping s I belive.
This is driving me crazy
All the best

In IIS, you need to create a Virtual Directory
named "CFIDE" for the
website that is using C:\Sites\mysite\html\. Just
point it to C:\InetPub\wwwroot\CFIDE and everything should start working.

Hello and thanks cf_menace,
I tried that rebooted the test
server but no sucess so far.
I belive this might be the right
path but still somthing is missing.
I am running WinServer2003 and cf8
Is this a
Microsoft thing or CF? Do you think?

Check your log files (application log - I think) - it should show
which file(s) can not be found, it'll show
complete path the
ColdFusion is
looking for these files in. Then find these files on your
system and
create ColdFusion mapping to point there.

Thanks cf_menace ,
I am not sure how I fixed it but redid all the settings in IIS, and did as you
told me and created a virual CFIDE and it all works fine now.
Once again thanks for the help.
