logs not working

We upgraded a test server from mx7 to 8 standard ed. Runs win2k3 r2, 64 bit
ed. When it was mx7, all logs worked normally. Now the application log does
not show up. Other logs such as mailsent.log to same path do work so
permissions seem ok. Any ideas obvious or otherwise? A giant check box that
says enable application log logging? Did force application to throw errors but
they don't create the app.log.

Cold Fusion doesn't support 64 bit windows and wasn't tested under it. So, it seems like logging may be just one of many things that breaks on 64 bit windows.

Do you know if ~~~64-bit~~~ support is planned? If so, what time frame? There was a
hotfix we had to apply to get mx7 to run something in 32-bit compatible mode on
the ~~~64-bit~~~ platform, but with that fix it did seem to work. All of the logs
showed up anyway.
